Carol D. Hinchey, of Dallas, formerly of Forty-Fort, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, unexpectedly, at the Wilkes- Barre General Hospital, with her family by her side. Carol was born January 19, 1946 in Swoyersville, the daughter of the late Frank and Doloras Machinist Danaher. Carol was a graduate of the former West Side Central Catholic High School, Kingston, class of 1963, and attended College Misericordia, Dallas. Upon her marriage to Frank A. Hinchey, she resided in Forty-Fort for several years, prior to moving to Dallas. She was employed as a teacher at the former St. Hedwig’s Elementary School, Edwardsville, and later owned and operated her own private day care center, Forty-Fort. Carol was a member of St. Therese’s Catholic Church, Shavertown, and had obtained her Life-Master’s in bridge. She was a good wife, mother and friend to all who knew her. Surviving are her husband, Frank A. Hinchey, Dallas; daughter, Bridget Mack, and her husband, Brian, Silver Springs, Maryland; son, Frank A. Hinchey Jr., and his wife, Misato, Philadelphia; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date for immediate family.
