Carol D. Hinchey

Carol D. Hinchey, of Dallas, formerly of Forty-Fort, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, unexpectedly, at the Wilkes- Barre General Hospital, with her family by her side. Carol was born January 19, 1946 in Swoyersville, the daughter of the late Frank and Doloras Machinist Danaher. Carol was a graduate of the former West Side Central Catholic High School, Kingston, class of 1963, and attended College Misericordia, Dallas. Upon her marriage to Frank A. Hinchey, she resided in Forty-Fort for several years, prior to moving to Dallas. She was employed as a teacher at the former St. Hedwig’s Elementary School, Edwardsville, and later owned and operated her own private day care center, Forty-Fort. Carol was a member of St. Therese’s Catholic Church, Shavertown, and had obtained her Life-Master’s in bridge. She was a good wife, mother and friend to all who knew her. Surviving are her husband, Frank A. Hinchey, Dallas; daughter, Bridget Mack, and her husband, Brian, Silver Springs, Maryland;  son, Frank A. Hinchey Jr., and his wife, Misato, Philadelphia; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date for immediate family. Memorial contributions in Carol’s name may be made to the Southern Poverty Law Center, 400 Washington Avenue, Montgomery, Al. 36104. Arrangements are by the Hugh P.
