Garry Kulawiak Obituary

Garry E. Kulawiak, of Luzerne, died Saturday, October 6, 2018 In Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Allentown. Born December 12, 1943 in Paterson, New Jersey, Garry was the son of the late Emil and Veronica Sawka Kulawiak. Garry was a graduate of St. John’s Cathedral High School, Paterson, New Jersey, and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Tele-communication Engineering from William Paterson University, Wayne, New Jersey. Garry was a United States Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War, and was awarded The National Defense Service Medal. Prior to his retirement Garry was employed by several telecommunication companies and most recently, Nextira Communications, Marlton, New Jersey. Garry enjoyed deep sea fishing off the “Jersey Shore” and was an avid fan of the New York Giants, and the Yankees. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Kim Lucey. Surviving are his wife, the former Lorraine A. Giardina, children; Andrew Kulawiak (Patricia), Middletown, New Jersey;

Brian Kulawiak ( Natalie), Hallandale Beach, Florida; Robert Kulawiak ( Sharon ), Fredon, New Jersey; Jennifer Kimkowski ( Keith), Glenwood, New Jersey ; 12 grandchildren, 3 nephews, 1 niece; Step-daughter; Lori Caravella ( Tom Benesky), Kingston, step-son; Joseph Caravella (Sonia), Randolph, New Jersey; 10 step-grandchildren; 2 great-step-grandchildren; sister; Carol Weiss (Walter), North Haledon, New Jersey. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation with the family on Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hugh P. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, Inc. 416 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, Pa. A Blessing Service for Garry will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. by Rev. Leo J. McKernan, pastor, St. Ignatius Loyola parish, N.
